In-Restaurant Party FAQ
How do I reserve a date?
For Parties under 40 in a semi-private area of
the restaurant, you may email Mark Flemming, our
in-house event coordinator at Mark@chez-zee.com
. Please include the date of your party, the time,
the number of people, they type of event. Mark will
email you back within the week to make final arrangements.
Or you may call 512-748-0368 to speak directly to Mark
Flemming, our in-house event coordinator. If you
are transferred to voicemail please leave a detailed
message including the date of your party, the time,
the number of people, they type of event. (Your
call is very important to us. Mark will return your
call as soon as possible, within one business day.)
If
you need to make your reservation right away...
You
may also call Chez Zee directly at 512-454-2666,
speak to the manager on duty. We can confirm availability
for you party, get your party's time reserved in
our reservation computer. Mark Flaming will then
call you back to make any arrangements you may need,
such as special menus, linens, dividers, etc.
For
parties over 40, or parties needing a completely
private area, please call 512-748-0345 to speak
directly with Mary Frances Despres, our Gallery
Private dining room coordinator.
In order to reserve a date a credit card is required.
What areas do you have available?
We have several areas that are available for your event.
1/2 of the Crescent Room, which can be divided with wooded
dividers.
The
entire Crescent Room, accommodates up to 50 people.
The
South Side Dining Room, accommodates up to 40 people
The
Gallery Private Dining Room, accommodates up to
100 seated and 120 for cocktail receptions.
The
North and South Terraces, can be set up to accommodate
up to 15 people.
The
Courtyard, out door area seating for up to 40.
The
Gallery Patio, out door area seating for up to 40.
What is the difference between a semi-private
and a private area?
A semi-private area is an
area within the restaurant that would be divided
from the rest of the restaurant guests by either
tall wooded room dividers or curtains. You may be
near other guests, there may be tables in the area,
some noise from other tables may be audible. In
the Cresscent Room we regularly place wooden dividers
in the center of the room to give two parties privacy.
Both the Crescent Room and the South Side Dining
Room can be reserved for your event. In this case
you would be the only party in those areas. However,
there will still be other restaurant guests and
servers near by, and there may be noise from the
piano or music system. You will also be sharing
rest rooms with the other restaurant guests.
The Gallery Private Dining Room is the only
completely private area in the restaurant. It is
in a separate building. It has its own P.A. music
system, and piano. They guests control every aspect
of the experience in The Gallery. This is the perfect
venue for Rehearsal Dinners, Presentations, Award
Ceremonies, Parties, etc.
Can we bring in our own cake, cupcakes,
or other food or desserts?
Sorry we do not allow any outside
food or beverages in Chez Zee. However, we would
love to bake you a cake for you event or even cupcakes.
Let us know if you have any special requests. We
can usually handle any request with enough notice.
Can we turn down the music for speaches
or gift presentations?
If
you have reserved the entire Crescent Room or South
Side Dining Room we can turn down the music in that
area. However if the piano player is playing, we
may not be able to control noise level. We will
do our best to accommodate you.
Whe can you accomodate Baby Showers
and Bridal Showers?
We can accommodate Baby and Bridal Showers
Saturday 9:00AM, 11:00AM, 2:00 PM, and 3 :00 PM.
Sunday 9:00 AM, and 3:00PM and later.
What do you do for Bridal Showers and
Baby Showers?
We would be happy to accommodate your Bridal and Baby
showers.!
Can you Accommodate Presentations?
We
can accommodate Presentations in the Gallery Private
Dining room. However we cannot accommodate video
presentations in the restaurant. Some exceptions
can be made between 3-5 or on Monday and Tuesday
nights. Graphic presentations cannot be accommodated.
For medical or other graphic presentations we recommend
The Gallery Private Dining room.
Do you provide Audio, Video equipment?
We have projector screens. We also have a microphone,
P.A. in the Gallery. Additional A/V equipment can
be rented and set up by Paggits.
When do I need to give a final head
count?
A confirmed head count will be needed 48 hours prior to
your event.
What if fewer people arrive than the
confirmed number?
We are reserving this time and space for you. If your
number decreases from the final head count there
is a per person charge for each person who did not
attend. The per person price will be determined
by the lowest price entrée for your event.
What if the number in my group goes
up?
Should your numbers change we will make a reasonable attempt
to accommodate your party. However, we reserve the
right to place your party wherever necessary and
change seating arrangements with no prior notice.
How will the tables be arranged?
We can accommodate groups up to 12 at one table.
Due to space groups over 12 will need to be broken
down into smaller tables.
We would like a horseshoe layout for
our table.
Unfortunately, due to space limitations we are not able
to accommodate horseshoe or conference style tables.
May I bring in decorations?
If you wish you may arrive up to 15 minutes early to decorate
your table. We ask that you refrain from using
confetti as it may stain our tables.
Can we have floral arrangements delivered?
All tables will have bud vases with flowers, but you are
welcome to bring your own flowers or have floral
arrangements delivered.
Is the restaurant handicapped accessible?
Yes, we are handicapped accessible. Please let the
manger know at the time of booking to special needs
of any guest in your group.
